The clients have an internet connection throught the server and I use dialout on demand throught an ISDN line for connecting people to the internet. <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV>Last day I was surprised when I realize that opened IP connections remain after the browser is closed and nobody is surfing. The problem is that dialout on demand tries to establish further connections in order to "satisfy" requeriments from those opened connections. Consecuently, the line is dialed again, and so on, meaning that if we do not solve this problem the amount of money that I will have to pay to the German telecom will undesirabily increase. <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV>Note that I tried to see if the Windows clients were responsible but I realiced that the problem stays in the server. (The problem stays when I switch off all the clients from the server). <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV>Here is the loggin information I got: <DIV></DIV>server:~ # netstat -nt <DIV></DIV>Active Internet connections (w/o servers) <DIV></DIV>Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State <DIV></DIV>... <DIV></DIV>... <DIV></DIV>tcp 0 1 62.155.194.113:1143 195.219.99.136:80 FIN_WAIT1 <DIV></DIV>... <DIV></DIV>... <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV>From /var/log/messages <DIV></DIV>... <DIV></DIV>... <DIV></DIV>Dec 1 16:41:36 server kernel: OPEN: 62.155.194.113 -> 195.219.99.136 TCP, port: 1143 -> 80 <DIV></DIV>... <DIV></DIV>... <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV>Is there someone that could me help? Thank you very much in advance to all of those that try to help me.<br clear=all><hr>Get more from the Web. FREE MSN Explorer download : http://explorer.msn.com</p>
