Yes. Go for a cup of coffee, come back in two hours and then install the all new fresh and dancing 11.1 Kernel update that matches above KMPs :) (I just released it, it will take one or two hours to the mirrors.) Yes, I have the same errors, just install the new kernel which will match the nvidia driver version :) as Marcus suggested.

here, I would like to ask, there is possible to keep also the old kernel and try the new one. "zypper lu" shows me the new kernel, and if I will do "zypper update" the old kernel will be removed and the new one added, but I would like to test the new kernel before remove the old one. I suppose that "zypper install new_kernel" will do the trick, am I right? If not, how is it possible to keep the old kernel also? In /etc/zypp/zypp.conf is a commented out line with multiversion = Change it to: multiversion = kernel-default (or your kernel flavour, perhaps kernel-pae) And libzypp will keep all old versions. Don't forget to add your nvidia kmp names to the list as well... Ofcourse I did already the update before to see your answer :) and now I have just the new kernel, the old one has been removed. Now, with the new kernel everything seems to be fine, but during the boot process I see the following: ......[skip]............. iwl3945: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG/BG Network Connection driver for Linux, 1.2.26ks iwl3945: Copyright(c) 2003-2008 Intel Corporation iwl3945 0000:06:00.0: power state changed by ACPI to D0 vendor=8086 device=27d2 iwl3945 0000:06:00.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 17 (level, low) -> IRQ 17 iwl3945 0000:06:00.0: setting latency timer to 64 iwl3945: Detected Intel Wireless WiFi Link 3945ABG iwl3945: Tunable channels: 13 802.11bg, 23 802.11a channels phy0: Selected rate control algorithm 'iwl-3945-rs' loop: module loaded ohci_hcd: 2006 August 04 USB 1.1 'Open' Host Controller (OHCI) Driver ------------[ cut here ]------------ WARNING: at kernel/softirq.c:137 local_bh_enable+0x3c/0x92() Modules linked in: sha256_generic aes_x86_64 aes_generic cbc ohci_hcd dm_crypt loop arc4 ecb crypto_blkcipher iwl3945 snd_hda_intel pcmcia rfkill snd_pcm uvcvideo hci_usb(N) snd_timer mac80211 iTCO_wdt i2c_i801 video snd_page_alloc ohci1394 yenta_socket nvidia(PX) iTCO_vendor_s upport rtc_cmos rsrc_nonstatic tifm_7xx1 compat_ioctl32 snd_hwdep videodev ieee1394 btusb battery led_class ac snd output usb_storage rtc_c ore tifm_core sony_laptop pcspkr button sr_mod v4l1_compat joydev intel_agp rtc_lib pcmcia_core sky2 i2c_core soundcore cdrom cfg80211 blue tooth sg usbhid hid ff_memless ehci_hcd uhci_hcd sd_mod crc_t10dif usbcore dm_snapshot dm_mod edd ext3 mbcache jbd fan ide_pci_generic piix ide_core ata_generic ata_piix libata scsi_mod dock thermal processor thermal_sys hwmon Supported: No Pid: 2095, comm: cryptsetup Tainted: P 2.6.27.19-3.2-default #1 Call Trace: [<ffffffff8020da29>] show_trace_log_lvl+0x41/0x58 [<ffffffff8049a3da>] dump_stack+0x69/0x6f [<ffffffff8023d562>] warn_on_slowpath+0x51/0x77 [<ffffffff802425b3>] local_bh_enable+0x3c/0x92 [<ffffffff80433be7>] sk_filter+0x97/0xa0 [<ffffffff80441a42>] netlink_broadcast+0x220/0x386 [<ffffffff803614cd>] kobject_uevent_env+0x452/0x520 [<ffffffff803401d7>] set_disk_ro+0x58/0x8d [<ffffffffa00ea1d1>] __bind+0x11d/0x136 [dm_mod] [<ffffffffa00ea23e>] dm_swap_table+0x54/0x70 [dm_mod] [<ffffffffa00ee766>] do_resume+0xa9/0x122 [dm_mod] [<ffffffffa00ef17d>] ctl_ioctl+0x1cb/0x213 [dm_mod] [<ffffffffa00ef1d3>] dm_ctl_ioctl+0xe/0x12 [dm_mod] [<ffffffff802bd249>] vfs_ioctl+0x21/0x6c [<ffffffff802bd4b6>] do_vfs_ioctl+0x222/0x231 [<ffffffff802bd516>] sys_ioctl+0x51/0x73 [<ffffffff8020bfbb>] system_call_fastpath+0x16/0x1b [<00007f5d03eacb77>] 0x7f5d03eacb77 ---[ end trace ac204b9e083915ce ]--- kjournald starting.
