[opensuse] kde3 logout dialog "shutdown" option is not shown
I have opensuse 10.3. After upgrading from 10.2 the "shutdown" and "reboot" options have disappeared from kde3 logout dialog (there is only "logout"), thought I had them in 10.2. I also have this options in gnome and also in kde4 logout dialogs. Is it possible to bring it back to kde3? it is an applet, right click on the task-bar and add the applet. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thank's for reply, but that not the case - I meant the "restart" and "shutdown" buttons on the "Log out" dialog. I have added the applet to the panel - and it shows 2 buttons "lock session" and "log out". When I press "log out" button of the applet, I see the logout screen (with green sleeping dragon on the left) with only one button "End current session", but there should also be "shut down" and "poweroff" buttons. Thank's to that applet, I have found "Configure session manager" dialog with "Offer shutdown options" checkbox in it (looks like what I need), but I have it checked and I still do not have "shutdown" or "reboot" options. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

If yast is configured to not allow anyone but root to shutdown the shutdown and reboot options will not appear. If you started the GUI desktop with Startx command I think you also only get logout options. -- ----------JSA--------- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
