Re: [SLE] Personal vs. pro
Hi Paul,
It's been suggested that Personal is for newbies while Professional is for seasoned hands. I have a different take on it: Personal is for desktop systems (which might very well belong to seasoned hands) while Professional is for servers.
There may be some validity in that but there is, I believe, a server version too ... sorry if someone else has already told you this. James C. Hmmm. I thought there were three versions: Personal, Professional, and Upgrade, with Pro containing the packages needed for heavy-duty server support. Is there a fourth version? Paul

Professional and upgrade aren't two different versions. upgrade is professional without the books. There is a *third* version though, it's called SuSE Linux Enterprise Server. //Anders
So whats the version ftp'able from suse? I've just downloaded it, and it runs to 2.6Gb or so.... Anders Johansson wrote:

I've seen NTU lights glitter in the dark near the Mail Gate. All these things will be lost in time, like the root partition last week. Time to die.
