Err, I said copy but it needs to be a raw write. dd if=/boot/vmlinuz of=/dev/fd0 -- Bud Rogers <budr@sirinet.net> http://www.sirinet.net/~budr/zamm.html Though all my neighbors are barbarians, and you are a thousand miles away, there are always two cups on my table. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

dd if=/boot/vmlinuz of=/dev/fd0
In /etc/lilo.conf change boot=/dev/hda (or whatever) into boot=/dev/fd0. Leave the rest of lilo.conf intact and run /sbin/lilo. If you still have your linux installation and a working kernel, this is all it takes.
