SPAM: Re: [SLE] Major problems with SUSE10.1 after a clean install and update
So in the end.. I've still got a problem with the computer... a couple hours after booting it settles into a semi useable state.

try to remove any partition when do re-install. so, you must: - choose new installation - choose custom partition, why? because suse New Installation doesn't mean really NEW, but it will install on new partition - select Use Entire Partition __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I know how SUSE installs work :-) I've been using SUSE since version 6.0. I don't have any problems with how custom partitioning works.. it's the only way I install since I never agree with the suggested partitioning. The partitioning is NOT the issue here. Nor is formatting a partition... it's the behaviour after the install is done and everythign is up and running... as $USER I can't type anything without getting that out of control keyboard repeat and the random hibernates. All of which settles down and stops anywhere form 30 minutes to 2 hours after a boot up. Pardon me for jumping on the thread late.... Is this a USB keyboard? If so, do you have a USB drive or USB nic or other high volume usb device? I've seen this kind of thing before when there are high volume usb devices sharing usb headers with other devices. -- _____________________________________ John Andersen
