Doubt it on 7.0: rpm -q --provides xorg-x11-libs-6.8.2-100.2 [SNIP] libX11.so.6 - 7.0 will probably be libX11.so.7 rpm -q --whatrequires libX11.so.6 | wc -l 807 807 packages on my system require the 6.8 version of that library... If 6.9 is built it'll probably be available from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/X/Xorg or your favourite mirror. -- James Ogley james@usr-local-bin.org Packages for SUSE: http://usr-local-bin.org/rpms Make Poverty History: http://makepovertyhistory.org

6.9 and 7.0 are completely identical except that 7.0 is modular and 6.9 is monolithic. Apart from that there is no difference between them, they are both built from the same source

Yes, so for SuSE 9.1, 9.2, 9.3 and 10.0 - i think it would make more sense to get rpms for 6.9 rather than 7.0. however, I also heard that all new development/changes will be in 7.0 branch and probably won't be available in 6.9.1 or so on... But, it's anybody's guess what will happen with 6.9 series. Osho
