YOU via USA mirror now works
Hi, Just did a fresh 9.2 install, and when I got to the "pick a Mirror site" part I tried the USA - Chicago choice and it worked! Much faster too! Give it a try. PeterB

Is that mirror.mcs.anl.gov? I use that all the time, very good throughput except on very rare occasions. That is Argonne National Labs, a cousin of the bomb factory at Los Alamos. Georgia Tech (ftp-linux-cc.gatech.edu) in Atlanta is also quite good, but quite often they max out on the number of anonymous connections they allow. They also mirror the "projects" directory, which ANL doesn't do. Strangely, in the past I have also had good response from both the Italian sites, and from ftp.suselinux.hu (haven't used them in some time though).

It was down for a few days last week, for some reason. If my memory serves, this was not the first time that has happened there. I used to use it as my primary Cygwin mirror, and I think occassionally it went down for similar periods, then.
