Hi paul, without looking inside your config here, i have had maybe similar problem with a bridge, problem was here that it would not be up if no connection was on the real device. solution was, put to the bridge: LINK_REQUIRED='no'
hope it helps.

yes that was the suggestion. mh, did you have ipv6? if not try for the postfix errors: /etc/postfix/main.cf inet_protocols = ipv4 and/or andor take a look inside /etc/hosts if there are any ipv6 entries, (for localhost) remove them. (this has helped at one of my machines without ipv6 but with static ipv4 to get postfix running. before it claimed also that it will not find any localhost device (like your log). but you have more errors, maybe the problem is deeper...... simoN - -- www.becherer.de -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.19 (GNU/Linux) iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJbKUozAAoJEOuDxDCJWQG+wOkP/3AEsbHjTM1oOjO6j3qKn9M6 G28/QhUUvRXZUsAoTrnbHUSGkgdk3xGW1Z28wSJJKIgTNgUp8ZsayoFw22IfGhfW l/i3FUbpEwLyiQBzdjRSENBIO8w2vfB+nQgHSraHyna++Q3rzGID4ksjOfSz7Hg4 K1Tp7Idgt9Dwg/IqFAQqu8VoKh1GLZMuYN2P3f0Mlz8eoiJ93YZWQVX09pJ42a78 W+phICw4Wbk7T/pKGVLodwIs50gBu5LZ7wY4NFaTbs3iZ7camu5WHp9LoB7WgGOX h5nAzCANtlcq91tc07tC6kpgyKoh5IveHb2LVPj00pyT4dFGdhaWukhIQfCPjL9u 3dhIm1C7jl/BmHECMu55Gm/jVCEd7IK+JhsFPYyQPD/2K0Oo8bw0AFpIBoNNyE2z c+uLI0+bD5qZucIrBGXTaqsLyrrJxu6bFcnfvMj7Xq0iXxjmUVv5SvfrCyDL8DdC m9wPXepYablfuWdPnsjLCeDIDvMy2oUVGj709Jk13deZPuyF3LH7Cb8+wM2eF/S7 Qkc5bYBQMrinhsK/0ODXHnoEslu+hgzOaDZK2QK1OTqQDcE03XwhA0YxUvOzt+tP rCQoFbAzMVrKg7HCsWgYioxDo6ZhIXjs2BZa/O5VRlkouspP7lu3bqazoXancT7t iwno2QRZl2/VOjtkBQar =8I3v -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
Thank you. I am sure, the problem is deeper. Can anyone having a similiar bridge provide his or her config? just two ethernet cards bridged together for balancing, using wicked setup. or is there just something missing like "networkmanager-wait-online" (or likely) service? thank you all, paul On Tuesday 2018-06-19 20:23, Simon Becherer wrote:

Hi Paul FWIW, I was setting up a machine with a quad interface today, so I played with bonding the four interfaces into one - bond0 = eth2+3+4+5, balance-rr. I am running an nfs server, I see no problems during boot up. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (20.7°C) member, openSUSE Heroes -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Hello, on Leap 15.0 I have the problem, that many systemd-services fail on boot, or won't work correct, as network is not up and/or name resolution doesn't work. see below. Maybe Asterisk should also be configured to wait for the network?

This report seems to describe a very similar situation: https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/3374
Jun 19 08:33:50 localhost systemd[1]: Started wicked managed network interfaces. Jun 19 08:33:50 localhost systemd[1]: Reached target Network.
At this pint, lots of network related services seem to be kicked off: nut, fail2ban, ntp, openssh, snmp, postfix, apache ....
Jun 19 08:33:51 localhost systemd[1]: Failed to mount /var/lib/libvirt/images/boot.
I presume an NFS mount. It looks like lots of the network services are failing as the network could not be started properly. You have bond0 = eth0+eth1, and you are bridging bond0 - presumably to/for xen? My immediate guess: bond0 could not be configured, for whatever reason, and that causes everything to fail. systemd mistakenly thought Network was started and kicked everything else off. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (19.1°C) http://www.cloudsuisse.com/ - your owncloud, hosted in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
