Do you have on board sound on your motherboard? Does Suse see the Creative sound card as the first device 0 or second device 1? If Suse sees the sound card as your first device then go into YAST and open the settings for the card to edit them. Don't change the defaults. Hit Okay and Finish. Check the volume control on your desktop. Sometimes this kick starts the process. If your computer sees on board sound as 0 then the situation is more difficult. Are you getting any sound from speakers? Go back into the Yast setup - choose sounds cards, then in the lower right hand corner I think is "options." Open that and choose "volume." MAKE sure that PCM is at 100%......there's a "test" button as well. Set other settings you need at 100% as well.....test, and exit. Oh yes.....I have the IDENTICAL card, and it has always worked flawlessly!!
