[opensuse] kdeDevs - What App Creates KSplash .png pxmaps & what are the images called??
Listmates, I need to create a ksplash image. You know, one of those icons that pops up when the splash screen is showing. They are .png files, but weird png files that have many slightly shaded copies of the same image in them that obviously are the animation effects for the icon from dim->normal->dim. I don't really know what these things are.. QPixmaps?? Bottom line, what application do you use to create them and, probably more important, where is the documentation for them at techbase.kde.org. I can find the ksplash page, but it just makes reference to several kinds of pixmaps without a description on how to make them. Anybody done this or know how? I have what I think is the correct concept for them. They must be like the kdesktoptheme elements that you use inkscape to create (although I haven't done it, I've read through the desktoptheme pages at techbase. So anybody have any suggestions or handy links?? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
