[opensuse] today update
Hello, today update, be it with apper or zypper up (13.2) asks me to remove Dolphin and Konqueror among other things. This is a bug we hoped to have fixed. - this is about "virtual applications" - they are not in fact removed, but replaced by the released updates So it is safe to isntall. The answer in two parts: - The "application" blubber is marketing, the real deal are "packages" - Zypper can tell you what really is going to happen: "zypper -vv up" or "zypper -vv patch" give much more info due to the rised verbosety (-vv). Background: KDE gets its monthly update. Old version gets removed, new version installed. And: Apper is well known for confusing messages with half truths at best. If you want a GUI for updates, use "yast2 online_update". - Yamaban. yes, that's why if I don't understand I go to zypper up :-)
