I am having a quite similar problem here (Texaco Brasil). I have a SuSE 6.3 working as Intranet Server and it is turned off every Saturday and started again on monday. After Boot, SAMBAŽs services start well but shares are not available. So I have to use smb reload to correct this problem. The shares become available. Any Ideas ??? Thanks Regards, Ivan Almeida

Hi
I have had a strange problem where the Samba network just dies for no apparent reason; or should I say the clients are unable to connect to the server. This problem has happened twice - on both occasions over a weekend when there is no activity on the network at all. I am running SuSE 6.3. Below is the output of the warn log whcih I assume relates to the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Have you tried the updated package on our ftp server? There is a Samba 2.0.7 package for SuSE Linux 6.3 on ftp.suse.com and mirrors.
