If you consider it as supporting more than just Windows, then it should do fine as Mac is based on Unix, which makes it fairly easy to port Linux apps, -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thanks for that heads-up. I just filled out their questionaire. I said that IMHO it should be illegal for the BBC to launch a Microsoft-only service. Cheers, Dave -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Do you get the digital channels? BBC Three and Four show some excellent programmes. Radio 4 is very good, too. A lot of people feel the same way about the decline in output quality on the terrestrial TV. But I agree with Russell about 3, 4, and the radio. Whatever your view though, they are still going to take the licence fee off you, so I would urge any UK readers to go to the BBC Trust site at http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbctrust/consult/open_consultations/ondemand_services.h... and express your views. The consultation is not solely about a Microsoft-only system, though, and I would remind everyone that it's likely that sounding like you've given the whole consultation thought is probably likely to get more results than if one comes off as simply someone who hates Microsoft. I would imagine that the bulk of people reading your input are probably not technical specialists. Tom Baker was no Jon Pertwee either. Each "Dr" brings something different to the series. Some for the better, and some for the worse. I thought Tennant did a reasonable job with the character. At least he didn't treat it like it was serious TV. He had about the same attitude as Tom Baker. Which one, the "old" Doctor or the "new" doctor. Oddly enough I thought he might have been tapped for the new serial, Eckleston was ok, but is accent was tough to cut through at times.

I had not noticed that about his scarf, but I do recall that one Dr. Who Comic book had the instructions for knitting one just like it.

If I recall a documentary I saw somewhere the last scarf was something like twelve feet long. Made for Tom by a fan. Said he hated the thing cause he was forever tripping over it.

Hi Dan, can you repost the question as a new message to this list (mailto:opensuse@opensuse.org), as here in thread about BBC is not a big chance that anybody will notice it, and few that will, probably will ignore it, as it breaks common practice not to hijack threads.
