Hello, I am looking for info on setting up a Linksys wusb11 on Suse V10. I have done some googleing and end up in a circle of web pages. I have made some progress, but with questions. I have ndiswrapper V1.2 loaded from the Suse Dvd. /etc/modprobe.d/ndiswrapper contains " alias wlan0 ndiswrapper" SuseDesktop:~ # ndiswrapper -l Installed ndis drivers: wusb11v4 driver present, hardware present SuseDesktop:~ # iwconfig lo no wireless extensions. eth2 no wireless extensions. eth0 no wireless extensions. sit0 no wireless extensions. eth0 and eth2 are regular lan cards. Tia, Mike.
I hope I understand what you are asking here... You have a wireless "dongle" correct? (USB wireless thumb device). If so, I have found the directions at the following address to be invaluable.... http://nextgen.no-ip.org/~andrew/linux/ndiswrapper/ndiswrapperinfo10.php This site is a step through to get the ndiswrapper to use the windows driver that came with the device. Works flawlessly for my Belkin. You will want to print this out... any time you update the kernel from an online patch... it will hose the wrapper and you will have to do this again. I keep a folder with the wrapper package, Windows drivers, and a text copy of the page in a backup folder on my drive to refer to.... Hope this helps Clark On Sun, 2006-08-06 at 02:13 -0400, ka1ifq wrote:
