[opensuse] Gnome - where to configure shade/unshade by mouse wheel on titlebar?
Guys, I'm been using gnome a bit lately along with enlightenment and I kinda like gnome. Finding where all the settings are controlled (gconf,gnome-control-center, etc..) has been a challenge. I am stuck trying to figure out where or how I can configure the mouse-wheel to control shade/unshade when I am over the titlebar. Any gnome users out there know where this can be configured?? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. OK, Since there were no responses, I'll answer this one myself :p ANSWER: Run gconf-editor from a terminal or any kind of launcher you have and navigate to /apps/gwd. Double click on mouse_wheel_action and change its vaule to shade. Instantly you will notice that you can use the mouse wheel on a window to make it shade up and down. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. I don't even know what that shading of the tittle bar could be... :-? However, there are a lot of gnome settings hiding in there. There is a "trick" to have a desktop background that changes with time. The default openSUSE one darkens during the night. I changed that to have an earth map with the lighted area changing every 20 minutes or so. In 11.2 there is another one that shows star photographs that change now and then. What I haven't seen is one to have a different background on each workspace. Another variation could be changes matching the weather, if somebody programs it ;-) - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
