hi, i know should be a kind of sata-raid support for ich7 controller in kernel after 2.6.10 (and suse 10 is 2.6.13). But i didn't understand if using native bios intel fakeraid instead of linux software raid brigs to better performances or not. I'm going to raid-5 three 250gb sata-hd. Thanks in advance. L.Cerini

FakeRAID buys you nothing but headaches in Linux. The only reason it is supported is to handle dual boot environments where the Windows FakeRAID drivers are in use. Thus, if fakeraid is not a requirement in your environment, go with pure software raid. Greg -- Greg Freemyer The Norcross Group Forensics for the 21st Century
