Re: [opensuse] Where is the Source Code?

This is probably a FAQ, but I just did a search for the source code for opensuse 10.1 Beta 8. The link on the opensuse website led me to ftp.ale.org which had only about a dozen src rpms on it. Similar searches of higher quality mirrors led to no source directory at all.
I can speak only about my situation: lack of space and bandwidth. And forgot to mention, that /src/ generated less than 1/10000th of the download traffic, while it takes a lot of resources to keep in sync. Bye,
Understandable -- but it would be nice if download.opensuse.org's mirrored link to the source code only pointed to mirrors which actually had the source. (Just a minor irritation on such a beautiful spring day.)

It should, we verify this. But if there are some packages and not all, we cannot test that, we just check for existance of single files or directories but not for completeness. Which is fine if you want to download single files - but I see, it's not optimal if you like to browse... I already have this on my agenda and will try to address this within the next couple of days. At the moment we redirect as eraly as possible, the plan is to change this to redirect as late as possible. Regards Christoph
