I tried to setup ktorrent under SUSE10.2 to download the SUSE11.0 developer alpha version. Followed the steps on http://software.opensuse.org/developer. Ktorrent keeps reporting authorization failure on the ip addresses. Is there something else I need to setup?
Thanks for any help.
Not that it helps, but I have _never_ been able to get ktorrent to download anything! I've tried too.
Firewall problems ?
No firewall enabled, ktorrent just runs for a few hours and dies. This is on a 10.0 box where (aside from ktorrent) everything else works flawlessly. I mean flawlessly. It runs until I take it down for maintenance, uptimes of 75 days +. I haven't tried ktorrent in 10.3 yet, so I'm not sure that my complaint is valid there. We'll see in 4 months or so when 11.0 comes out. -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E. I've used ktorrent with 10.3 a couple of times now. No problems and I have not configured my NAT router/firewall to have the extra ports open. It just seems to work acceptably well. (last time I tried, I got 50% download link utilization on avg. Not perfect but acceptable.) Pardon me if this has already been answered but have you successfully downloaded torrents with other programs e.g. Azureus? If not, I'd fathom a guess that your ISP is filtering p2p traffic... by the way - just for the fun of it, I'm downloading the 11.0 version of OpenSUSE. I'm getting between 50 and 80 kb/s on the download. I think it is louder. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Joe Will be trying Azureus as soon as I download it and install it. I finally got a complete download but it took along time 9over 4 hours on 100mb fiber. It could be my ISP.
