The reason is probably that Exim does not provide the neccessary milter support. Recent versions of Postfix can use the Sendmail milter protocol, but I am not aware of other MTAs other than Sendmail and Postfix, that use the milter protocol.

No, the only way would be to use Amavisd-new 2.60 (I think it can also sign, not just verify). There is also a smtp_proxy version called dkim_proxy, but AFAIK it is not maintained anymore, so I would hesitate to use it in a productive environment. -- Sandy List replies only please!
