[opensuse] Dovecot IMAP server
I just install the Dovecot IMAP server on openSUSE 10.3. I had previously used (IIRC) the uw-imap server. While I can now access my email account, I don't see any of the subfolders I created. How do I find them? tnx jk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Read the comments on /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf , the configuration is self explanatory. Most likely you need to subvribe to your imap folders again, also you may want to read this document http://people.redhat.com/rkeech/maildir-migration.txt -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I've been trying all afternoon, to match up what the docs say, vs what's in front of me. That article you linked to is 3 years old and there are some differences. Previously, I had an imap server and used fetchmail. That combo worked well and that's what I'm trying to get again. However, nothing I've been able to find, will allow me to read the existing mail in subfolders . Also, since that mail was placed there by fetchmail, whatever I use, has to be able to work with whatever fetchmail creates. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I've given up on Dovecot and installed the IMAP package from 10.2. It works fine. -- Use OpenOffice.org http://www.openoffice.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

imap = uw-imap. Did not you dislike that? :) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

No, I've been using it for a few years and it works well. I thought I'd try Dovecot as uw-imap was no longer included. While I could get Dovecot to work, it didn't see all the subfolders I have. I tried various things that I could see on the net, but nothing seem to work and much of what I could find was confusing as it didn't seem to relate to what I could see in front of me. -- Use OpenOffice.org http://www.openoffice.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
