[SuSE Linux] European software is evil (so they tell me)
Hello! An amusing story: someone new just started at work, I had recommended SuSE to them. They couldn't get K to work because their swap disk wasn't big enough and their machine had little RAM. So they come in and complain to me about it, and then go on about how they got redhat to work instead and how wonderful it was. I told them they hadn't made their swap disk big enougfh first time and they said: Them: Are you sure SuSE doesn't have a virus? ME: Of course not Them: Well you know that a lot of software, especially software from Europe is very buggy and has viruses... Well, he has a point... that evil French company Microsoft, jeez! ;-) I know that I like many other european computer people still consider floppy disks as the avante garde... *lol* Cheers!
