I'm still looking for good wp in the linux environment. SO5.1 that comes with 6.4 is a real pig in my slow box. The START button line "program files" crashes the whole SO desktop every time my arrow happens by. I can't get wp8 working either. I thought I'd try Maxwell but you say I'll be dissappointed with that as well. Is there a good wp app for a slowish box? I haven't found it yet. David --- Jerry and June Kreps wrote:

Do you really want to use maxwell? I ask because maxwell works ok for small documents, under a dozen or two pages, but slows down significanly beyond that. As your document gets bigger every change, even a single keystroke, takes longer and longer. That's why I gave it up for Applix, then WP8 and now I use SO5.2 JLK
