For anyone who is interested and has noticed that the kdenetwork stuff is missing from the beta RPM collection I am attaching a spec file. To use this spec file you need to download the Beta1 SRPM file, and the Beta2 source tar file. Install the SRPM, then copy the beta tar file to /usr/src/packages/SOURCES. You then copy the spec file I am enclosing to /usr/src/packages/SPECS (overwriting the one already there). Then type rpm -bb kdenetwork3.spec (from the SPECS directory as root) and it should build you the kdenetwork RPMs. I am sure this isn't a perfect RPM set as I had to modify the spec file and that meant removing some patches and a couple files that don't seem to exist in beta2 (as well as renaming a bunch that are under new names). But at least it works and fixes problems with running kmail and the like.

Wouldn't it be better if SuSE simply pulled these severely broken rpms from the ftp site. beta rpms should never, never, ever overwrite the "production" version. As long as people see them in a semi-official ftp directory, they will be tempted to use them, and I suspect they'll be very surprised to find their 3.0.3 gone. Previous betas didn't behave like this //Anders
