[opensuse] Novell's OpenOffice Windows version
Novell supposedly has an enhanced Windows version of OpenOffice, comparable to their Linux version. However, I can't seem to locate it anywhere. Does anyone know where this Novell version might be found? tnx jk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Apparently it's at version 2.02, and not the currently available v2.04. Since I like to pass around OO and other open source Windows apps to others, I suppose I should stick with the standard version as it appears to include at least some of the enhancements Novell provided for v2.02 tnx jk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

OK, great! :) khirano -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Just what did Novell add to OO that is not available in the standard version from OOO, and why would one want to go down that road? -- _____________________________________ John Andersen -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Bug fixes and some feature work like improved VB macro support. Most of
this stuff is in the process of being pushed up stream (which is a very
slow process in OO.o) which is why 2.0.4 has a bunch of stuff we shipped
in 2.0.2. See the "ooo-build" module in GNOME CVS for a detailed
changelog.

First it appears the Novell version is still at 2.0.2. One of the things added was email as MS Office document, which is now in the standard version. They also mentioned more fonts etc. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
