Can someone please help! I've been looking all over the place for this x server (vga16), but with no luck. Every time I try to start Sax I get an error message asking for this server. I can find the i386 version but I'm running on a PPC kernel. I haven't been able to get an X windows sessions. When I try to load the i386 version using yast I get an error message saying that the version I am trying to load is of a different architecture. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am becoming very frustrated. Everything else works fine... http, ftp, telnet, etc. Just no X. If anyone one from SuSE monitors this list please help. BTW, is anyone out there running 6.3 on a PowerPC? Thanks in Advance. Hi there Bill

You might want to try "sax -s

I'm not familiar with Linux on PPC, do they provide an X server on the install disks?
When I try to load the i386 version using yast I get an error message saying that the version I am trying to load is of a different architecture.
Which would be correct.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am becoming very frustrated. Everything else works fine... http, ftp, telnet, etc. Just no X. If anyone one from SuSE monitors this list please help.
There's a few links off http://www.suse.com/ppc that may be of some use. I had a look on the Suse FTP site and the X directry under PPC was empty.
