I guess I wasn't clear enough in my original question. I know how to get information about a particular command using "man", etc. What I'm really looking for is a list of what network commands exist, and ideally a one-line description of each (like the one that shows up in apropos).

Hi Paul, Have you used the search function in the YaST2 Control Center ---> log in as root ---> "Install & Remove Software" ---> Filter (click on "Search") ---> Search ---> check mark: "Name," "Summary" and "Description" and then put: "network" in the search window and "search" When I did in on my 8.2 box it returned "lots" and there is a one line explaination along with a slightly longer explaination. Add to your system any you don't have installed, and become fimilar with the others.
