Don't know I have personal. Most likely it's in the general linux section in the beginning. Probably right after installation, since the next step is to create a user. But the handy dandy Yast2 will do it for you. It's under security > users add new user. and presto home directory is made and all sorts of configuration's are done. -- Franklin Maurer <nebbish@sprynet.com> Using SuSE 8.1.
SuSE Linux 8.1 User Guide: Chapter 4 (YaST2-Configuration): Security and Users [86] You do have a point though. The first book I picked up was the Administration Guide and was quite disappointed to not find it there. Although I have not looked through them extensively, my first impression is that they need to be divided better. Reviews of SuSE always praise the included books. It's a shame the books aren't better organized. On Saturday 07 December 2002 17:17, Eric Richards wrote:

hmm, down-under dude. here's the easy way to create a user in reverse polish notation: ; ; open xterm man useradd sudo useradd <your options here> note: most common example: sudo useradd -g users -m -s /bin/bash [-d /home/hentrix] [-G puppleNbrown] -c 'Puple Haze' jimmy DO NOT FORGET THE -m you have been warned. other than that, gui stuff, yeah, there are 15-16 ways to create a user with a gui, but heh, you don't want a gui. you want prompt. cuz there is no massive user management in 90% of unix user management guis (Irix excluded) blah, it's 5am in the morning, enough patronizing for a day

You may search it "online". They are in an rpm (html and pdf format). -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
