Where can I find information on how to create a "message" file for the gfxmenu option in GRUB? -- ======================================================== Glenn Holmer (Linux registered user #16682) ======================================================== "The day I go to work for Microsoft, hell will freeze over so solid the brimstone will go superconductive." -Eric Raymond ========================================================

You may be able to find something on the grub website, http://ww.gnu.org/software/grub, or from the following excellent resource, http://www.troubleshooters.com/linux/grub/grub.htm, which is titled "GRUB from the ground up." I haven't actually checked either for the information you want, so I don't know if what you want is there, or if you will have to follow a few links. Also searching with google for "grub message.file" (the period means "message file" is included as a phrase, in case you are wondering), and came up with this: http://www.morphix.org/index.php?option=com_simpleboard&Itemid=78&func=view&id=185&catid=10 but I have no idea at all if it is of any use to you (just skimmed it). Hmm, I'm glad I went a bit further with those search results before posting. Maybe take a look at this one too: http://www.bootsplash.org/themeinfo.html, it looks like it might be promising.
