RE: [SLE] Suse 10 pesky bootsplash won't die
After disabling the Splash in System Services (Runlevel) and setting /etc/sysconfig Editor +System, +Boot, +THEME (BLANK), and +SPLASH (No), I still get the Suse 10/KDE bootsplash for the first 30 seconds of bootup.
How can I completely remove the bootsplash from appearing during bootup?
Many thanks in advance.
James
After all of that did you remember to run mkinitrd? Some of it is stored in the initrd file used at boot time.
Thanks Ken. Is that it? Just run #mkinitrd, and nothing more? Gratefully, ~James

What what you have done so far that looks like the final step. Make sure you run it as root. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998
