Re: [opensuse] ATI Radeon 8500 & SuSE 10.2
=========
Nothing special to do Peter. Just remove the ATI driver, if installed, drop down to init 3, run sax2, set the 3d on, test it and save it. You could use "sax2 -m 0=radeon" also, if you want to be sure to get the radeon module loaded.
I think you'll find it results in very adequate readings from glxgears on that card.
Lee, Got it. Done as you suggested and now glxgears give me !1800 frames/sec Enough for my needs, and saved me a few dollars Thanks Peter -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

========= That's not too shabby for a card that old, but it has always been one of their best. Have fun, sounds like you are getting good results and all it cost you was a few minutes of your time! regards, Lee -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
