hi all,
I'm experiencing an extremely strange mono problem... I've downloaded libopenmetaverse 0.9.3 (sources) and rebuilt it on Leap 15.2 with the mono version that's included with leap.
Now, I'm trying to launch any of the demos, and as soon as I try one that brings in a GUI )for example Dashboard.exe) it crashes at startup.
... unless I run t through a ssh-tunneled X11 !!!!
to be clear: "mono /home/mathias/Documents/Downloads/libopenmetaverse-0.9.3/ bin/Dashboard.exe" crashes with the errors shown in https://susepaste.org/16242955
but "ssh localhost mono /home/mathias/Documents/Downloads/ libopenmetaverse-0.9.3/bin/Dashboard.exe" works...
Anyone got any ideas?

KDE Plasma 5.19.4, and the normal X11 server that comes with Leap 15.2, in both cases.

Not claiming that this is the same issue, but similar workaround was reported for different problem:
https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1175028#c19
which apparently is related to libX11 update. If you are using the latest libX11 you may try to downgrade it to verify whether this is the same issue. If yes, this would call for bug report against mono and comment on the above bug as well.

spot on - rolling back libX11 to the version before openSUSE-2020-1164 fixes this - mono GUI apps worg again as expected.
