Never had a paper feeding issue and I just cheap paper since it's mainly for faxes what I use it for. FWIW now that I think of it using proper inkjet photo paper might yield drastically better results.

I have had same concerns about HP with windows, largely what drove me away from them to try the Epson, also the dis-abling of the printer for B/W printing when a color tank went dry...then found the same thing with my current printer.
