Never seen that one before. Are you sure its the correct Disk? I don't have my SLES9 disk set here to check which one works for me. Is this 64bit or 32bit? (Might make a difference as to which cd/dvd to use).
Note that almost any Linux Boot cd or Live CD should do the trick because all you want to do is get into single user mode and run some fsck tasks on hda2
It has taken me longer than expected to learn how to boot a box from a LiveCD and submit a fsck! I've been not able to find and understand this sudo -i command until a couple of hours ago. Uff, I've to catch up with Linux! Please, before submitting fsck with the proposed switch, is there any consideration I must take into account? It will be great to recover a MySQL database stored in this partition. It helds a wiki and even though I can recover the final state of the documents, I will lose their history if I lose the database. Thanks for your help.
