Hello, Does anyone have a command line (or Perl) way of extracting the SuSE version number of the system, e.g. 7.1, 7.2 etc? I have a script which pulls it out of /etc/issue, but that is not very reliable because the administrator might have edited it. I realise such a concept might not be meaningful for hybrid systems, but |'m not worried about that.
