Re: [SLE] Installing WordPerfect Office 2000 on 7.1
Hi, When I threatened to adopt StarOffice 6.0 as soon as it becomes available, Corel's representative on the official WordPerfect Office newsgroup wrote the following about configuring WPO icons in the KDE2+ pop-up menu: | The menus were probably installed in "/usr/X11R6/share/applnk/" and they | probably need to be in "/usr/share/applnk/" -- at least that is the case | with Red Hat. | | You can move these, or (before you install) make a link: | | /usr/X11R6/share -> /usr/share | | If you are using KDE >= 2, you will probably want to convert the icons | and "*.kdelnk" files to the new system -- the WPO links and icons are KDE | 1.x. | | The 32 pixel application icons need to be moved from: "/usr/share/icons/" | to: "/usr/share/icons/hicolor/32x32/apps/". The "_32" should be removed | from the name. | | The 16 pixel application icons need to be moved from: "/usr/share/icons/" | to: "/usr/share/icons/hicolor/16x16/apps/". The "_16" should be removed | from the name. | | The "*.kdelnk" files should be renamed "*.desktop" and they should be | edited: | | The line with the mini-icon should be deleted. | | The "_32" should be removed from the icon name. | | JRT I'm _sure_ it'll work... Incidentally, has anyone heard anything about the prospects for future StarOffice releases? Michael
