Greetings, I need to make backup into another computer (also with suse 9.3) via a D-Lin DI-514 router. I can ping the other machine (192.168.0.2) but the execution of ssh 192.168.0.2 hangs! Eduardo, Look in /var/log/messages to see if there are any hints. Another thing to look at is the firewall on the other machine -- be sure it allows port 22. Use YaST->Security_and_users->Firewall. Select Allowed Services and be sure SSH is allowed.

Another thing to look at is the firewall on the other machine -- be sure it allows port 22. Use YaST->Security_and_users->Firewall. Select Allowed Services and be sure SSH is allowed. I assume both computers are on the same side of the router. Is the SSH dameon running on 192.168.0.2?
