An update should never update your own homepage setting and I don't see why it should have. If you have used the default homepage though it changed one time and back because an incompatibility occurred between Firefox and its branding-openSUSE package. We used to change default settings but not user settings. Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

But it did. And found another problem: I open the page at localhost, go to preferences, click "use current pages" and instead of localhost I get ?http://answerpot.com/showthread.php?2943229-TomTom+GO+LIVE+1000%2F1005|http://www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/chars.html|http://diegocg.blogspot.com.es/2010/05/systemd-otro-reemplazo-de-init.html|http://www.happyassassin.net/2011/05/12/cute-systemd-trick-of-the-day-auto-mounting-remote-shares/|http://0pointer.de/blog/projects/systemd.html|http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Share_certificates_between_applications_or_whole_system|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/REISUB|http://xkcd.com/1091/|http://software.opensuse.org/package/glibc|http://telcontar.valinor/local/? Sorry, but I find this highly unlikely. User settings are always overriding system settings. An update will never touch your user settings. If you had only default settings then they can change though. Problem is that we will never find out to prove.

"Use current pages" ^ It saves all open tabs and opens them if you start Firefox. What's the issue? If you just want "localhost" in there close all other tabs first. Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

You only have my word for it. A month ago my home page was set to local host, and an update reset it to be google. As that is the default setting, a new update reset it yesterday to be opensuse.

"Use current pages" ^
Yes, I see the plural, but it is absurd. What's the idea of opening a bunch of pages everytime I click "home" on one single tab? When I open a new tab, I expect it to be filled with my home page, will it open instead 20 tabs? - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. We did release MozillaFirefox-branding-openSUSE yesterday, top of changes: Tue Aug 07 2012 wr@rosenauer.org - move Firefox specific prefs to defaults/preferences (bnc#774914) which is likely the reason for that.

It's been that way a long time. If you don't like it, complain upstream where it could possibly do any good. If you want only one page as a home page, you need to either edit down the current multi-tab selection, open a new window before opening preferences, or close all but one tab first, so that you can click on "Use Current Page" instead of "Use Current Pages". -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." I've not had to change my home page for a long time, so I don't know how old is that setting. And I find it absurd. And no, I will not complain upstream, I consider that useless and waste of time. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
