[SuSE Linux] Need Help With Printer Problem
I've been trying for 3 weeks to get an HP Ljet4L back to functioning with SuSE 5.3. It's worked before under both v5.2 and 5.3. But I haven't been able to get any response from the printer since a complete reinstall of 5.3. Any ideas where I go from here??? When I do a cat /var/log/boot.msg >/dev/lp1, or an lpr /var/...
/dev/lp1 all that happens is the two lights which would normally indicate printing, go on. Absolutely nothing happens!
While in this "suspended" state of no-activity, a check of the print queue for lpr, ascii, and raw all show to be empty. Nothing there to print. Need your help please..... any ideas or suggestions most welcome.
