You need to turn it on in the Look and Feel>>Style control panel. This is one of the only things I figured out before uninstalling KDE 2.1.1. That didn't seem to work for me. Did it work for anyone else? magnum

Me. :-) Make sure you have qt-experimental and not the standard qt installed first. -Tim -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Timothy R. Sould it not work with qt 2.3?
It should work, AFAIK, with qt 2.3, but you must use the qt 2.3 experimental RPM, which you will find in the same directory as the 2.1.1 RPM's on KDE's site. Simply install the experimental RPM (which is really just qt 2.3 with anti-aliasing) instead of the normal one, and volia! -Tim -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Timothy R. I have the same problem on a machine I just updated to 7.1. I installed kde 2.1.1 and XFree 4.0.3. I have enabled AA fonts in the control center, they don't show. It may be of some help a warning I get when I start YaST2: Xlib: extension "RENDER" missing on display ":0.0". Running xdpyinfo doesn't show the RENDER extension. I've a i810 on this machine. [...] Well, what do you know? I went and re-read the README file for the XFree 4.0.3 updates. It turns out that the RENDER extension is supported only in these drivers: Please notice that not all XFree86 4.0.3 drivers already support the XRender extension, so antialiasing support is limited up to now to the following drivers (we did not test them all): - chips (Chips & Technologies) - cirrus (Cirrus Logic) - glint (3Dlabs) - i128 (Number 9 Imagine 128) - mga (Matrox) - neomagic (Neomagic) - nv (Nvidia) - r128 (ATI Rage 128) - radeon (ATI Radeon) - s3virge (S3 ViRGE) - tdfx (3Dfx) - trident (Trident) - tseng (Tseng) - vesa (Vesa compatibles) So, if you don't have one of these, you are out of luck.
