Its not thunderbird. The list emails don't have a reply-to set so it defaults to where the message From: is set to. -Matt -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Which, is off course, correct according to the relevant standards. The list also adds the correct headers: Mailing-List: contact opensuse+help@opensuse.org; run by mlmmj List-Post: <mailto:opensuse@opensuse.org> List-Help: <mailto:opensuse+help@opensuse.org> List-Subscribe: <mailto:opensuse+subscribe@opensuse.org> List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org> List-Owner: <mailto:opensuse+owner@opensuse.org> I believe there is a "Reply to List" extension for Thunderbird. KMail handles these headers automatically. -- Boyd Stephen Smith Jr. ,= ,-_-. =. bss@iguanasuicide.net ((_/)o o(\_)) ICQ: 514984 YM/AIM: DaTwinkDaddy `-'(. .)`-' http://iguanasuicide.net/ \_/

Next thunderbird version is supposed to have proper reply-to-list functionality, I wouldnt hold my breath though. ;P -- "If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed" -George Carlin (1937-2008) Cristian Rodríguez R. Nice trick. Its too bad the subject line didn't contain anything about thunderbird, or I might have already read it. -- Jeremy Baker <jab@mbcs.ca> GnuPGP fingerprint = EE66 AC49 E008 E09A 7A2A 0195 50EF 580B EDBB 95B6 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Well, that happens with long threads. The question popped, I happened to be using thunderbird that day, so I replied. When you asked I was using Alpine, so it was a bit more difficult for me to find the trick. A search on the contents of the month would have found it easily. Or a search on my last posts. Anyway, the trick has been posted several times, and I /hope/ should be written in the wiki somewhere. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. Unfortunately, I can't find it anywhere on the wiki, but perhaps I haven't looked in the right spot. Oh well, I appreciate the response nonetheless, and wasn't trying to be critical. I just don't have time to read all of the threads on this list, and it took me some time to locate your message. Thanks again for your help. -- Jeremy Baker <jab@mbcs.ca> GnuPGP fingerprint = EE66 AC49 E008 E09A 7A2A 0195 50EF 580B EDBB 95B6 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I use "Reply To List 3.0" and it works fairly well. It's just a timed rewrite of the address. You click the "Reply To List" button and in 1.5 secs, the address line is replaced with the mailing list email. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
