[opensuse] KNetworkmanager and openSUSE 11.0 bug: "No active device"
Since upgrading to SUSE 11.0 the KDE knetworkmanager applet no longer seems to see any of my network devices. Just to clarify the problem: The NetworkManager service is managing both my eth0 and wlan0 (Ethernet and WiFi) connections just fine. It's the KDE applet (I'm using KDE 3.5.9 release 49.1) that's not recognizing the cards when I click on it and it occasionally just dies and disappears from the kicker panel after I try interacting with it. This same setup works OK with SUSE 10.3. Any ideas what I might try to get the applet working again? Did you install the KNetworkManager online update? Might be related but I'm not sure. Helmut -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Helmut, I think I have all the most recent KDE 3 updates, so that should be covered. Here is what I have installed at the moment which is NetworkManager-related: * NetworkManager-glib-0.7.0.r3685-7.1 * kxdocker-networker-1.0.0-0.pm.2 * NetworkManager-devel-0.7.0.r3685-7.1 * yast2-network-2.16.48-3.1 * kdenetwork3-wireless-3.5.9-39.1 * NetworkManager-0.7.0.r3685-7.1 * NetworkManager-gnome-0.7.0.r729-7.1 * kdenetwork3-3.5.9-39.1 * NetworkManager-kde-0.7r821737-0.1 * kdenetwork3-lan-3.5.9-39.1 Do you a specific, newer RPM in mind? Thanks for the assistance. //ted -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
