[opensuse] Did the list server explode? -- I got 30 return to sender email from the suse list - ones that had already been posted??
Guys, It looks to me like one of the list serve servers went nuts. I got 30 or so "Undeliverable Mail Returned to Sender" messages from the suse list for messages that had ALREADY POSTED to the list and that have ALREADY been replied to. Strange... I have know idea where/what caused this problem. This is not a new issue, but I've never been sure of the best way to do this on previous installs. What is the best way to install additional codecs on openSuse, and specifically 11.4? This is not a new issue, but I've never been sure of the best way to do this on previous installs. What is the best way to install additional codecs on openSuse, and specifically 11.4? At the moment I need mp3 and mplayer, perhaps others but not sure. Is the Unofficial Guide to openSuse 11.4 ( http://opensuse-guide.org/index.php) a reliable place to do this via

(1) Add pacman and videolan repositories (2) In Yast->Software Management; search 'codec', then install what you want (3) In Yast->Software Management; search 'dvd', then install what you want (4) repeat (3) for mpg, mp3, wav, vorbis, ogg, etc...
(1) & (2) will get 99% of what you need :)
