RE: [SLE] You're not a member of the "powersave" user group?
Sorry for the delay, Steve - Edit /etc/powersave.conf Change these to lines to read as below (i.e. "no") POWERSAVED_DISABLE_USER_SUSPEND=no POWERSAVED_DISABLE_USER_STANDBY=no As the root user, rcpowersaved stop rcpowersaved start (or reboot) Log out then in again.. They should now be available options. Keith -----Original Message----- From: Steve Kratz [mailto:steve@townnews.com] Thanks, changing the powersave.conf line seemed to remove the error message... and I now get suspend/standby from the kpowersave applette, but they're greyed out. What do you do to get those options lit up? This laptop is one that would successfully standy/hibernate under WinXP.

Bah, was looking all through that file and never saw those options :) Guess when you're looking for "enable" options....!
