[SuSE Linux] printing problems
Hi all, I'm having trouble printing to my Epson Stylus 400. Every application (Applix programs and Netscape) I've tried to print from prints with a vertical offset of about an inch - the top starts at one inch + margin and the bottom ends about an inch past the end (i.e. it prints on the next page). I'm running SuSE 5.3 with Ghostscript 4.03 (not sure what version of apsfilter). Technical support at SuSE was no help. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, William -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
Greetings - See /etc/apsfilterrc and look for # ############################################################################## # Description # ----------- # FEATURE=1 tell a2ps to print 1 page on one sheet with header # FEATURE=2 tell a2ps to print 2 pages on one sheet with header # FEATURE=1n tell a2ps to print 1 page on one sheet without header # FEATURE=2n tell a2ps to print 2 pages on one sheet without header # FEATURE=1l tell a2ps to print 1 pages in landscape with header # FEATURE=1ln tell a2ps to print 1 pages in landscape without header # # Default is FEATURE=1n Change FEATURE=xx to "1n" like mine shows. Or whatever suits you, then try printing again. Regards WDM William Aultman <waultman@flash.net> wrote:
