I'm using Freewwweb with Linux, and connecting via KDE using KPPP, with PAP authentication. This works great fof WWW and E-Mail under Netscape 4.73, but whenever I try to subscribe to usenet newsgroups Netscape simply freezes, and I must resort to the kill -KILL *** *** command to terminate it. I am using 'news.freewwweb.com' as the newsgroup server. Has anyone successfully used the Freewwweb ISP service with the usenet under Linux?
