I tried the kde list but since I recieved no reply there I thought I'd try the bigger list. Using suse7.2, xfree86 4.2, kde2.2.2 I thought it would be nice to have some of my windows open in the same place on the screen each time I opened them. To do this I clicked on the small icon in the top left corner of the window and selected "store settings" The windows now open in the same position each time, but unfortunately they also open on the same screen that they were saved on. This doesn't do me any good because now I have to search for the screen that the window is on. How can I revert to the old setting? (ie unsave the window position settings.) Or better still How can I get the window to open on the current screen but in the position I desire? TIA -- dh

May I suggest that this is perhaps not the way to get a reply from this list's members? In any case, didn't you mean to type "better list"? :) Terence

I was trying to make it clear that I was not crossposting in a shotgun manner trying to get others to solve my problems. So far yours has been the only response to my question. (but it kind of avoided an answer :-) I'm still tryng to find out where these settings are kept as it is very inconvenient to have to search all of my screens to find an application I just opened.
