Has any one tried the Motorola web site recently ?..
try " www.hellomoto.com" then pick the region they all seem to behave the same then downloads i get a second or 2 or the page then the standard M$ Corp page cannot be found rubbish i know the page is there it flashes up but then gone same response with Konqueror set to say it's M$ ie al the versions give the same response , Is this the motorola site shutting Linux out of the frame as i believe it may be
Thanks
Pete .
Pete, I went to hellomoto.com using the just-patched Mozilla (1.6) update I got today using the Yast on-line update. Works fine. I can get around the site without any problems. (I only checked the U.S. site.) However, using Konqueror it was another story. I could click on some links and move around without problems. But other links gave me the same problem you described. The screen would display for a couple of seconds and then switch to the error screen. Very strange. Gil

Hi Gil .. where did you get that version of Mozilla from ?.. i have just tried YOU and it only finds a version older than the installed 1.6 version i have already , I am thinking that YOU may be suffering a bit of brain fade right now because it fails to find lots of updates/upgrades right now .. Hi, Pete. The version I downloaded today is 1.6-74.14. This is the one that Wolfgang (from SuSE) mentioned in his post earlier today. It was just posted to the Yast update this afternoon (U.S. time). I got it from the Kaiserslautern mirror, but I would assume it's on all the Yast mirror sites. Hope this helps. ;o) Gil

yep <code> if (is_ie4 || is_ie4up || is_nav4up || is_nav4) { if (is_win) { //they have windows and are using a suitable browser } else if (is_mac) { //they have mac and are using a suitable browser } else {location = "ZDisplayStaticTemplate-Start?templateName=platformerror"} // because they don't have a supported platform } else {location = "ZDisplayStaticTemplate-Start?templateName=browsererror"} //because they don't have a supported browser </code> They accept ip4 or better, or netscape navigator 4 or better (or mozilla) but only on windows or Mac, and they even specifically shut out opera <code> var is_nav = ((agt.indexOf('mozilla')!=-1) && (agt.indexOf('spoofer')==-1) && (agt.indexOf('compatible') == -1) && (agt.indexOf('opera')==-1) && (agt.indexOf('webtv')==-1)); </code> which is nice of them, isn't it?
