[opensuse] online update for 10.3. Problem?
Hello all, Some mirror are already open to download 10.3. But after doing a successfully install the update online are no possible, at the moment. :( It seems the rpm directory for updates is still empty, but no the repodata one. So my new opensuse 10.3 online update selected 4 patches to download and after click the button it suddenly finished the update. I checked the diretories and still no patch or rpm in it. Check http://download.opensuse.org/update/10.3/rpm Hope this will fixed soon. There is currently 1 online update available, which is the fetchmsttfonts script update. So you see repodata, with 1 patch-fetchmsttfonts.sh-4347.xml file in it (and the others). Some mirrors might have our beta testupdates still though, but should hopefully sync up soon. OK! My fault. Actually there is only this optional patch to install, the other 3 in the list ALREADY WERE INSTALLED . I had to read again the help window for online update to realize that. Frankly, the symbols are not intuitive for me. This is the reason the update online finished suddenly. There are not work to do :) OTOH 10.3 looks pretty well. My system is a lot more responsive that in 10.2. You all have done a good work! Guillermo

Above update repository is for future 10.3 patches. If you want to update from RC1 to GM you should use normal GM repository: http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/10.3/repo/oss/ and non-oss. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I had the same thing, I put in bug report earlier today.. About 3 hours later, I updated the repo, and the packages were back It was an issue with bad checksum on the packages.xml file Give it a go, and try to update your repos. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

My answer was to Frank that misunderstood purpose of repository: http://download.opensuse.org/update/10.3/ This is from his post: ----------------------------------------------------------------
