I don't have "icons on the desktop" :-). I use windowmaker 0.63. I just use wmakerconf and create a new menu item that points to the executable I want to create. Why not just create a new icon on the gnome or kde desktop using the shortcut or launcher commands? -- Michael Perry mperry@tsoft.com ------------------
If you're using KDE (you are if you've got a big K on your toolbar) move the mouse to the desktop, right click and choose new application, change "program.kdelnk" to "netscape.kdelnk". Then type /usr/local/netscape/netscape in the textbox under the Execute tab and click on the icon to change it to something sensible. Click OK, move the new icon to somewhere sensible and click it once. Netscape should start. JDL Pit Apps wrote:

This is windowmanager dependent. Which windowmanager are you using? Victor Cardona

I made a desktop link (KDE.lnk) and the path to Netscape6 is /usr/local/netscape/netscape. -- TRBishop tb64710@alltel.net RLU#12043 SuSE 7.0.Pro / BeOS 5 Pro
